Details of Aboura Metals

The company’s esteemed founder, Haj Hussein Mohammad Aboura, entered the scrap metal industry in the early 1950s in Jordan. He first began working independently by collecting various types of scrap metals throughout the country and trading them. After years of hard work and a clear vision, he successfully created his company under the name of Aboura Trading & Commission Co. in 1974 with the commitment and support of his four sons working along his side. It culminated into a fully specialized company and operated the first and groundbreaking scrap-yard in Amman, Jordan. Today, the company continues to operate as a family enterprise, following three generations, and has evolved into a pioneer in the metal scrap business.
