EDS Emirates Design System has completed a decade in operation having been established in the summer of 2000. The company was originally established to cater to the huge demand on the luxury domestic kitchens as Dubai had announced major projects at that time and that segment had a huge scope. Within six months saw the setting up of the foodservice equipment division too with a full fledged Bakery equipment division about a year later. The company is ISO 9001 Certified for Quality Management System. The original sponsors were the Bu Haleeba Group with EDS being a sister company to Emirates Décor ( interior Fit out ) headed by Mr. Marwan Barbour as the Managing Director. Mr. Marwan also established Modern Emirates being the office furniture division. Early this year EDS was taken over by Mr. Marwan with a different sponsor but with the full power of attorney for all legal and commercial purposes
