KTL Offshore was established as a family provision store in Singapore under the name Kim Teck Leong, more than 100 years ago. The business has been transformed through the years, with rigging being the main focus for the past 60 years or so. The company has now grown to be one of the largest wire rope and rigging suppliers in the world. KTL Offshore was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange on 14 December 2007 under the holding company name of KTL Global Ltd. KTL Offshore Pte Ltd is located in Singapore and occupies 28,000 square metres of land. It is one of the largest wire rope, rigging and mooring facilities in the world. In the Hamriyah Free Zone, UAE, KTL Global has established what is probably the largest rigging facility in the UAE. The facility encompasses a total area of 10,000 square metres including a completely paved outside storage/work area, a covered rigging production area and a covered warehouse. The HFZ facility is the most sophisticated in the region and has been purposely built to target the heavy lift and offshore construction industries in the Middle East's booming Oil & Gas market.
